Workforce Development Training

Through support from the Illinois Department of Human Services and our Workforce Development Training Program, which started in 2020, we have provided over 250 individuals with six weeks of job readiness training. If you are in need of :

  • Resume-writing assistance

  • Interview practice

  • Job preparedness training

Participants will receive:

  • job search and application training and assistance

  • resume-writing skills

  • interview skills and preparation

  • other key pre-employment skills​

Other benefits to program participants:

  • $300 per week participation stipend to be paid out monthly. 

  • Support Services for those participants deemed necessary or qualified by IDHS Guidelines.


  • Be able to pass a drug test

  • Have both a computer and reliable internet access

  • Have basic computer knowledge including but not limited to:

    • Zoom Communications​

    • Internet research skills

    • Word processing program knowledge

  • Be available to participate in the entire 6-week program, 5 days, 9a.m. - 11a.m.

State of Illinois restrictions:

*Persons who hold a college degree are NOT eligible for the program.

*Members of the same household may not participate in the same cohort
