Remembering Robert "Bob" Wordlaw

Robert Wordlaw was and will always be known as the man that provided love, compassion, encouragement and support.

As a founding member of the Board of Directors of The Endeleo Institute, “Bob,” as he was affectionately known, was a true pioneer in health, education and community development.

Bob’s vision and leadership were instrumental in establishing The Endeleo Institute and guiding us through our formative years. As an ongoing consultant, Bob provided experience, a network of professionals, and other resources to help establish Endeleo over the years in multiple areas of our work. More recently, Bob’s willingness to step into the Interim Executive Director role at a critical juncture demonstrated Bob’s unwavering commitment to our mission, and we are profoundly thankful for the stability and direction Bob provided.

Bob touched many, many lives, particularly in the area of workforce development. He aided many in their search for employment in a way that challenged them to rise above their circumstances, while maintaining their dignity. 

This “Gentle Giant” will truly be missed, and we send our prayers and sincere condolences to his wife Phyllis and the entire Wordlaw family now and in the days to come.
