Workforce Development Training
In 2020, despite the COVID-19pandemic, our Workforce Development Training Program served a total of 150 individuals through six weeks of virtual training sessions. With support from the Illinois Department of Human Services, we look forward to another successful year of assisting those who are unemployed to obtain jobs or careers that pay family-supporting wages.
Participants will receive:
job search and application training and assistance
interview skills and preparation
other key pre-employment skills
Other benefits to program participants:
$300 per week participation stipend to be paid out monthly.
Support Services for those participants deemed necessary or qualified by IDHS Guidelines.
Be able to pass a drug test
Have both a computer and reliable internet access
Have basic computer knowledge including but not limited to:
Internet research skills
Word processing program knowledge
Be available to participate in the entire 6-week program, 5 days, 9a.m. - 11a.m.
*Returning Citizens are encouraged to apply
Those who successfully complete the program may obtain jobs in the following sectors:

State of Illinois restrictions:
*Persons who hold a college degree are NOT eligible for the program.
*Members of the same household may not participate in the same cohort
